A Look Inside
1st Heartbeat is a support community created for mothers who have experienced infant loss. We understand that grief after the loss of a baby is a journey that no mother should have to face alone. Every story is different, and there is no right or wrong way to navigate the emotions that come with loss.
This space was created to provide comfort, understanding, and connection through a sisterhood of women who truly understand the unique experience of losing a child. Here, mothers are encouraged to honor their babies, share their stories if and when they feel ready, express their feelings without judgment, and receive support from others who have walked a similar path.
Whether you are newly navigating your loss or have been carrying your grief for years, 1st Heartbeat exists to remind you that you are seen, you are supported, and you do not have to walk this journey alone.
In addition to providing resources and encouragement, we have created a private community where mothers can connect, participate in meaningful conversations, and build a support system rooted in compassion, understanding, and hope.
Because even in loss, healing begins when we realize that our hearts do not have to carry the weight alone.
For women who have lost their babies, there are specific resources and support groups tailored to their needs. Some organizations that provide support for women experiencing this type of loss include:
1. The Tears Foundation: Offers support to families who have lost a child by providing financial assistance for funeral expenses and support groups.
2. Share Pregnancy and Infant Loss Support: Provides resources, support groups, and online communities for bereaved parents.
3. Compassionate Friends: Offers support to families who have experienced the death of a child of any age, including infants.
4. HAND (Helping After Neonatal Death): Provides support groups and resources for parents who have experienced the loss of a baby through miscarriage, stillbirth, or early infant death.
These organizations can offer valuable support, resources, and a sense of community for women navigating the difficult journey of grieving the loss of their babies.
